Register For Classes
Brazil Station, Inc. offers classes and lessons at our office on Park Ave South @ 23rd Street. You can register for on-site classes and lessons below using the "Buy Now" buttons. If you have any questions, you may contact us by calling 646.287.6645 or by writing info@brazilstation.com.
Corporate language training (classes and lessons), translation and interpretation services may be held off-site. If you want to learn more about our off-site services, you may contact us by calling 646.287.6645 or by writing info@brazilstation.com.

Gift Certificates

Class Policies
All classes are scheduled in packages of a 10-session minimum. Before reaching the last session, many students decide to continue in the next level class.
In case you booked a package and for any reason, after one class, you cannot continue, then we will charge for the first class and return the remaining amount by check. After the first class, there is no refund available. We will charge 10% administrative fee for refund or returned checks. We can put classes on hold for up to 6 months.
We realize that situations occur that unexpectedly alter our plans. However, you need to alert our teachers as soon as possible to these changes so they can plan accordingly. Those notifications are discussed below. Thank you for your understanding.
Private Lessons
If you need to change your class schedule or cancel a class, you must notify us by email at class@brazilstation.com no later than 5:00 pm on the business day before a scheduled class. Any cancellation or schedule change made after that time will be deducted from your account. We are obligated to pay for the teacher's scheduled time.
Any replacement classes will occur depending on the availability of the teachers and classrooms. A replacement class may be with a different teacher.
If you miss three or more consecutive classes, we will discuss holding the class on a different day or time to better accommodate your schedule.
Semi-Private Classes
If you need to change your class schedule or cancel a class, and yet your classmate can attend class, then the missed class will be deducted from your account.
When you and your classmate agree to change a class schedule (permanently or temporarily) or you both need to cancel a class, we need to be notified by email BY BOTH STUDENTS at class@brazilstation.com no later than 5:00 pm on the business day before a scheduled class. Any cancellation or schedule changes made after that time will be deducted from your account. We are obligated to pay for the teacher's scheduled time.
Any replacement classes will occur depending on the availability of a teacher and space. A replacement class may be with a different teacher.
Group CLasses
There is no make-up schedule for group classes. If there were any handouts, the teacher can provide them for you in the next class.
Holiday Schedule
Brazil Station will be closed during the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve through New Year's Day (Closed starting 12/24/09 and opening again on 1/4/10). Special arrangements may be made through the school to have class during a holiday.

Some movie titles totally change when translated into Portuguese.
- The Graduate = A primeira noite de um homem (The first night of a man)
- Annie Hall = Noivo neurótico, noiva nervosa (Neurotic fiancé, nervous fiancée)
- Airplane = Apertem os cintos, o piloto sumiu! (Buckle your seat belt, the pilot disappeared!)
